We Received some great entries and it was extremely difficult to narrow down to eight!

THE JUDGES

Dave Antonacci - Composer and Producer (Marineland, The Auto Show)

Barbara Sedun - Head of EMI Publishing Canada

Terry Brown - Producer (RUSH, Max Webster, Gowan, Klaatu, Blue Rodeo, Tiles)


After all 8 songs where played the judges were stuck on three songs.

Each performer were offered some advice by the judges and asked to play their song again.

First up were Andrew Thomson and his daughter Amanda, with "I Believe In This Town",
followed by John Bride and Marshall Dane (popular local musicians at The Harp and Roc N Docs)
with "Right Here In Port Credit" and finally a slimmed down version of On The Way Out
playing their song, "Port Credit Shine" all songs and performers received great applause
from the appreciative audience. After 20 minutes of further discussion the judges declared:

"I Believe In This Town" by Andrew Thomson as The Theme Song for Port Credit!


Andrew and Amanda will be heading down to Ghost Rider Studios in Port Credit to record the theme
song which will be become part of history as the recording and lyrics will be placed in a time
capsule which will be buried during the July 1st Canada celebrations
in Port Credit by the Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion.

They will also be playing the song to all those in attendance including the Mayor.

The song will be used at all Port Credit 175th Anniversary activities scheduled
throughout the rest of the year.

We would like to thank Revolution Audio, Yamaha Canada and The Guitar Shop
for their generous donations of prizes and support of this contest.
